In collaboration with the General Directorate for Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Affairs in Najaf al-Ashraf and its Grand Hall, the Faculty of Pharmacy at the Islamic University in Najaf al-Ashraf hosted an introductory session on drug law. Abbas Al-Khaqani, a directorate officer, discussed the impact of drugs on society and how to deal with medications containing narcotic chemicals, as well as the drug law and the method for dealing with individuals who trade in them.
In turn, the Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, Dr. Shaker Shanawa, stressed the importance of educating society, particularly young people, about the dangers of this scourge, praising the university’s cooperation with the Directorate of Narcotics and Psychotropic Substances Affairs and indicating the university’s intention to intensify holding such conferences in the coming periods.
