Under the patronage of His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research… IU holds its first medical conference with the participation of (33) sober scientific research

Under the patronage of His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, the Islamic University of Najaf held, on Tuesday, October 17, 2023, its first scientific medical conference in the presence of the founder of the Islamic University, His Eminence Sayyid Sadr al-Din al-Qabbanji, and the representative of the Minister, President of the University of Kufa, Dr. Yasser Al-Ugaili, the President of the Islamic University, Dr. Ammar Al-Salami, university presidents, college deans, and professors from various Iraqi and foreign universities participating in the conference, whose research sessions were held in the university’s large conference hall over two days.
Sayyid Sadr al-Din al-Qabbanji opened the conference by welcoming participants and praying to the Almighty for success in serving Iraq, scholars, and researchers. After that, Dr. Yasser Al-Ugaili, the representative of the Minister of Higher Education and President of the University of Kufa, delivered the minister’s speech, congratulating the participants in the conference and wishing them success in their research and scientific studies to be published in the relevant journals. His Excellency sent greetings and thanks to the Islamic University and the participants.
In his speech, Dr. Al-Salami welcomed all attendees and noted that 97 scientists from all over the world participated. Thirty-three research papers were accepted, praising the efforts of the organizing committee and international scientific organizations, including the World Health Organization and the Faculty of Pharmacy at the Islamic University.
During his speech, the Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, Dr. Shaker Shinawa, explained that the conference is the first of its kind in Iraq in the field of pharmaceutical and medical sciences and that its outputs and research are vital to human health, to keep everyone up-to-date on the latest studies, research, and global experiences in the medical and pharmaceutical fields.
The researchers then presented their scientific research to the attendees in the morning session. (HTH)
