According to data published by the global Scopus website for the strength of scholarly research in international universities, the Islamic University once again ranked first among all private universities and colleges in Iraq in the H-index. The index is regarded as one of the most powerful metrics for assessing research, its influence on the world, and the innovation it brings to the advancement of science and knowledge across a range of scientific disciplines.
It also improved the Islamic University’s standing among universities worldwide. It paved the way for it to compete with the most esteemed universities of higher learning in the area because most internationally recognized classifications use this metric to assess universities and their contribution to the advancement of scientific research.
