The Islamic University delivers two trucks filled with food and other supplies to the Syrian people

The Islamic University of Najaf provided two trucks full of relief supplies to the Syrians impacted by the earthquake in the Latakia governorate and its associated cities and villages early last week, under the supervision of the university’s founder, Sayyed Sadr al-Din al-Qabbanji, and the direct supervision of the university president, Dr. Ammar al-Salami.

Families along the highway from the Albu Kamal border region with Iraq, the cities of Deir Ezzor, Palmyra, Douma, and Homs, all the way to the city of Jableh, which is located 25 kilometers south of Latakia on the Mediterranean, were also helped. This was carried out in collaboration and coordination with the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine and directly under the direction of the community service division of the university.

The Syrian families expressed their gratitude to the Iraqi people for their humanitarian stand. (HTH)
