The Islamic University of Najaf conducts a convoy of humanitarian aid to Syria

Under the guidance of the founder of the Islamic University in Najaf, His Eminence Hujjat al-Islam Sayyid Sadr al-Din al-Qabbanji, and under the direct supervision of its president, Dr. Ammar al-Salami, the Community Service Division at the university sent on Saturday a humanitarian aid convoy consisting of three relief trucks to those affected by the earthquake in Syria, in coordination with Imam Hussein holy shrine.
The division official, Mr. Abdul Karim Al-Haidari, said, “The aid convoy carries on board more than 600 blankets, about 500 mattresses, more than 670 sleeping pads, five tons of imported rice, a ton of dates, large quantities of lentils and wheat, clothes for children, women, and men, in addition to various medical, electrical, and food materials and devices.” “This is some of what the Najaf families provided to the affected families in northern Syria,” he added.
Al-Haidari, who will accompany the convoy, said, “This convoy will deliver aid to the affected families in Aleppo, Tartous, and Latakia, in northern Syria.” (HTH)
