Under the guidance and sponsorship of its president, Dr. Abdul Amir al-Salami, the Islamic University of Najaf organized humanitarian activities to serve the community. Ammar Abd al-Amir al-Salami organized a party for orphans and beneficiaries of the Ministry of Labor’s State House for Baraem Care for Orphans on Thursday, November 17, 2022, as part of its Community Service Division. The trip included a visit to the Islamic University and a trip to the Euphrates beach in Kufa.
This is in accordance with the university’s mission to serve the community and bring joy to children’s lives. The trip began with a tour of the Faculty of Pharmacy and then the Faculty of Education (Department of Physical Education and Sports Sciences), during which children were instructed on the importance of studying seriously to obtain the highest degrees, thereby reaching academic study and becoming accredited themselves in the future.
Later, the division took the children , aged 7-17 years, as well as the staff of the home, to the shore of the Euphrates River in the city of Kufa, to have lunch prepared by the Community Service Division, where the children expressed their overwhelming happiness and joy, expressing with the management of the home their thanks and appreciation and to the presidency of the Islamic University for its continuous communication with the home and its provision of the most important humanitarian and daily needs.
It is noteworthy that the Community Service Division at the university has provided, during the past week, what the beneficiaries of the home need, including inner and outer clothing, shoes, and sufficient amounts of drinking water, and the division will continue to supply them with basic food.
