Islamic University of Najaf launched the “Winter Clothes” project on Monday for orphans who benefit from State House for the Care of Orphans of the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs, as one of its various projects to serve different sections of society.
In a statement, the Community Service Division said that the project was backed by the University’s President, Dr. Ammar Al-Salami, in order for all orphans and beneficiaries of the State House to receive a “winter clothing”.
According to Mr. Abdul Karim Al-Haidari, “the division took the orphans to ready-made clothing stores. The children selected the clothes that they preferred. This year’s clothes included shoes, socks, underwear, sweatshirt, pants, and belt).
Al-Haidari revealed that “the Division and based on the fact that the Islamic University is proactive in serving various segments of society, including the orphans, the Division will organize a recreational trip next Thursday for orphans to the orchards of the Kufa beach, starting with a visit to the shrine of Muslim bin Aqeel (peace be upon him) and then a meal in the orchards, before taking them home.
