The Islamic University Council holds its first session of the new academic year

The Islamic University Council held its first council for the new academic year 2022-2023 in the presence of His Eminence Sayyid Sadr Al-Din Al-Qabbanji, founder of the Islamic University, who praised the university’s movement, scientific progress, and urban expansion, and called for supporting student activities and scientific and cultural activities for young people while preserving the Islamic identity of the university and the specificity of the name of Islam, which is under the supervision and care of professors and officials.
For his part, the President of the University Council, Dr. Ammar Al-Salami, explained some of the activities and events that the university will hold, at the forefront of which is the central graduation ceremony, which will be organised by the university on the afternoon of Saturday, the twenty-second of October, in the closed sports hall at the Islamic University in celebration of the university’s graduate students,
in addition to the various celebrations that will be held by the faculties on the occasion of the anniversary of the Prophet’s birthday.
After that, the council began discussing its agenda and approving some academic promotions as well as approving the appointment of more than 160 new professors at the university, which is credited to the university for embracing the competencies and holders of higher degrees, whose number has reached 600 university professors in the various departments and colleges of the university.
On the other hand, the Council approved the establishment of two international engineering conferences in the new academic year, the first concerned with engineering technology and sustainable development, and the second with engineering applications and information security, with the support and backing of IEEE International. At the conclusion of the meeting, the Council approved that the academic as a year of non-failure for students whose restrictions are registered according to ministerial instructions. (HTH)
