In the blessed month of Ramadan, the month of goodness and blessings, a delegation of professors and students of the Islamic Education Department at the Islamic University of Najaf visited (Al-Baraem), the State House for People with Special Needs, affiliated to the Directorate of Labor and Social Affairs in An-najaf al-Ashraf.
The delegation met with the shelter’s management, orphans and individuals with special cases. The delegation distributed “‘Eid clothing” to the children.
During the tour, the delegation of the Islamic Education Department in the College of Education was informed about the departments of the house and their greatest needs.
Mr. Razak Al-Khaqani, the director of the house, expressed his thanks and gratitude for the generous visit of the delegation from the Islamic University, which had a positive psychological impact on children, as well as a material impact aimed at alleviating the suffering of our children who were in need of care and tenderness.
Moreover, the University’s Community Service Division pays close attention to humanitarian cases that aim at bringing joy to the hearts of the needy, the elderly, and orphans, so as to make their faces smile.
In compliance with the guidelines of the President of the University, Dr. Ammar Al-Salami, to bear some of the responsibility towards the community, about two thousand food baskets were distributed recently by the university to needy families, orphans, and widows to alleviate the suffering of the needy in the best way possible.
