In honor of the Blessed Fatwa… the Islamic University hosts the literary session of (Festivities of the Fatwa Festival of “Sufficiency Jihad” in Iraqi Memory)

In order to commemorate the eighth anniversary of the blessed fatwa of the supreme religious authority, Sayyed Ali al-Sistani (May Allah prolong his life) that completely restored the prestige and sovereignty of Iraq. It is the fatwa that shocked ISIS terrorism and its supporters. It is the fatwa that shocked the supporters and adherents of ISIS terrorism

With the aim of perpetuating the blessed fatwa, the Islamic University of Najaf hosted, during its fourth cultural week, the first literary session of the (Festival of Fatwa Festival of Sufficient Jihad in Iraqi Memory) organized by the Holy Shrine and University of Kufa Studies Center.

The session was attended by the President of the Islamic University, Dr. Ammar Abdul-Amir Al-Salami, his administrative assistant, Dr. Hassan Taher Melhem, the director of the office of the Popular Mobilization Authority in Najaf, Mr. Qasim Al-Khaqani, representatives from Imam Ali Holy Shrine and the honorable shrines, the University of Kufa, the Popular Mobilization Brigades, university students and guests, in addition to 60 researchers and 30 storytellers from Iraq and abroad.

Al-Khaqani delivered the speech of the Popular Mobilization Committee, in which he referred to the fatwa of sufficient jihad and recalled the steadfastness of Iraqis who responded to the fatwa of volunteers in the Popular Mobilization Forces. Al-Khaqani appreciated the continuous support provided by the Islamic University of the Islamic University to the Popular Mobilization Forces.

Then the President of the University, Dr. Al-Salami, delivered a speech on the occasion in which he referred to the blessed memory, that it is not like all other memories… A memory that is not renewed until the alarm bell rings for all of us… The memory of the fatwa that caused an earthquake that shook the earth under the feet of the aggressor terrorists and the countries supporting them.

Then the President of the University, Dr. Al-Salami, delivered a speech on the occasion in which he referred to the blessed memory, that it is not like all other memories.. a memory that is not renewed until the alarm bell rings for all of us.. the memory of the fatwa that caused an earthquake that shook the earth under the feet of the aggressor terrorists and the countries supporting them.

He also expressed the pleasure of the Islamic University presidency that the Fatwa Perpetuation Festival will coincide with its annual cultural week, and that the Great Conference Hall will be the location of this literary session, so that the visiting delegations and students can witness the heroism and sacrifices of those who respond to the blessed and great fatwa of Sayyid Ali Al-Sistani (May Allah prolong his life.

Dr. Ammar Al-Salami, on behalf of the Islamic University and its affiliates and students, denounced in the strongest terms the fabrications that seek to undermine the position of our supreme Marji in Najaf, which coincided with the eighth anniversary of the great fatwa, in order to obscure the role of the patriarchal and humanitarian reference, which indicated the depth of interdependence between people and their blessed Marji.

At the conclusion of his speech, Dr. Al-Salami called for documenting all the heroism of those who responded to the call of the reference, extending his thanks and appreciation to the contributors in writing down everything related to that fatwa, whose echoes will remain immortal throughout the ages.

Thereafter, the participating writers from Iraq and abroad told their stories, influenced by the heroic acts of our security forces and the crowd, and their great sacrifices for the sake of the homeland and its sanctuaries.

By hosting this session, the Islamic University is making a serious attempt to codify the heroism and sacrifices of the popular mobilization so that they remain alive and present throughout Iraqi and human history.
