Dr. Ammar Abdul-Amir Al-Salami, President of the Islamic University of Najaf, received the Consul General of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Najaf, Reza Al-Din Kazemi, and his accompanying delegation on Tuesday, in the presence of Dr. Hadi Al-Tamimi, Dean of the Faculty of Islamic Sciences.
Dr. Al-Salami, for his part, extended a warm welcome to the visitor and thoroughly explained the university’s specializations, the services it offers students, and the strategic plan the university seeks to achieve at all administrative, academic, and infrastructure levels. He also provided the guest with a presentation of its curricula and the procedures followed to hire graduates who have a strong scientific certificate. In addition to all of that, he explained, the institution places great importance on the graduate having a strong religious background that makes him a role model in both his profession and society.
Afterward, the University’s President and Dean of the College of Islamic Sciences escorted the delegation on a tour of the campus.
The Iranian consul, on his part, thanked the university’s president profusely for the hospitality and warm welcome, applauding the institution’s recent growth and accomplishments both locally and internationally. He also stated his intention for the agreements between Iranian universities and the Islamic University to be implemented.
Consul General Kazemi presented an appreciative gift to the Islamic University, which in turn presented its university shield and publications to the delegation.
