A festive celebration was held by the Faculty of Medical Technologies at the Islamic University on Saturday to commemorate the birth of Imam Ali, Commander of the Faithful (peace be upon him), with the presence of The President of the Islamic University, Dr. Ammar Al-Salami, Professor Abdul Majeed Al-Saadi and his assistant, Dr. Rahman Zabiba, along with a group of faculty and students.
The ceremony began with the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran as well as Surat Al-Fatihah for Iraqi martyrs.
Dr. Al-Salami then addressed his speech, expressing his great pleasure at the start of the morning and evening shifts in the college and the start of students’ scientific careers along with the revival and enjoyment of the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them).
At the ceremony, poems were recited featuring the love and dignity of Imam Ali, the heroism of the crowd, and the supreme Marjaʿ, Sayyid al-Sistani (May God prolong his honorable life). Students interacted with the poems, followed by a competition of questions about the Imam’s life (peace be upon him). The winner was awarded valuable prizes.
At the end of celebration, the winner was awarded valuable prizes.
