The president of the Islamic University attends the first meeting of the fourth annual cultural week’s supervisory committee

Dr. Ammar Abdel-Amir Al-Salami, the president of the Islamic University, attended Tuesday morning’s first expanded meeting of the committee overseeing the cultural week to ensure the festival, which is held annually by the university to distinguish itself from previous festivals, is a success. The meeting’s goal is to support and inspire young people who are showing promise by include paragraphs that highlight their skills in the arts, sports, culture, and other disciplines.

Dr. Al-Salami emphasised the significance of getting all activities prepared a week prior to the festival’s start at the end of March in 2019.

Additionally, Dr. Jabbar Rahima Al-Kaabi, head of the university’s Student Activities Division, confirmed that the committee will meet several more times to set plans to make the festival successful.

In part of the meeting, Dr. Hadi Al-Tamimi, the dean of the Faculty of Islamic Sciences, emphasized the importance of looking at the positives of previous festivals and adopting them since it is a distinguished cultural week in a city where Al-Hawza al-‘Ilmiyya and the shrine of Commander of the Faithful (peace be upon him) are located.
