On the fragrant anniversary of Imam Ali’s birth, and in the presence of the founder of the Islamic University, His Eminence Sayyid Sadr al-Din al-Qabbanji, the College of Education, in association with the Religious and Educational Guidance Unit, held a celebration the birth of Imam Amir al-Mu’minin (peace be upon him). The celebration held in the conference hall on Tuesday included readings from the Holy Quran and Surat Al-Fatihah on the martyrs of Iraq, as well as a speech by the Dean of the Faculty, Dr. Nazim Al-Salami.
Several well-known panegyrists and poets took part in the event, and a performance about the enticing life of Imam Ali was staged (peace be upon him).
