The founder of the Islamic University, His Eminence Hojjat Al-Islam Sayyid Sadr Al-Din Al-Qabbanji, encouraged the dear students in the university’s faculties and branches in the governorates to attend the mosque and perform the obligatory prayers.
This occurred during his visit to the university branch in Diwaniyah and during his meeting with the students after prayers. In a speech to students, His Eminence praised Iraq’s national team goalkeeper, Fahd Talib, for saving our team from several goals by his exceptional performance.
As part of his speech, His Eminence called for more student activities in sports, trips, festivals, and religious celebrations, as well as for chant groups and poetry gatherings. Furthermore, he stressed that these activities must take place in an Islamic university and in accordance with the spirit of faith.
As His Eminence said: “You should take note of these initiatives by arranging trips to the holy shrines and to various tourist spots in Iraq, provided these activities are under the supervision and consideration of the university’s presidency and the deans of its faculties”.
His Eminence concluded his speech by urging the students to ensure that they will get blessings from the mosque in the university, which he described as “The House of God”.
