On Saturday morning, 22/1/2020, a delegation from the College of Islamic Sciences of the Islamic University of Najaf visited the Orphan Charity Foundation, Najaf Branch, consisting of Dr. Afif Oreibi, Sheikh Hassan Al-Dujaili, the Director of the Holy Quran Division at the Islamic University, Mr. Mohsen Rasoul Al-Saffar, and several students.
Mr. Raed Al-Khalidi, the Foundation’s official, welcomed the delegation, describing how the institution works and supports orphans from poor families, how many families it serves, and how much material and moral support it provides.
In his speech to orphans, Sheikh Hassan Al-Dujaili explained the importance of supporting and caring for orphans in Islam and the importance of following the approach of Imam Ali and the Imams (peace be upon them).
Afterward, Dr. Afif Oreibi spoke on this occasion, emphasizing the fact that all members of society are responsible for taking care of orphans, and social solidarity is needed to strengthen social ties among children.
In addition, Mohsen Rasoul Al-Saffar, head of the Noble Qur’an Division at the Islamic University, stressed the importance of faculty and students visiting these institutions to gain insight into the realities experienced by this segment of society and the extent of their suffering, as they may be unwilling to work in the future.
As a conclusion to his speech, His Eminence called on the Almighty to grant success to the institution’s management and employees, and to bless their good works, and to have mercy on the late religion authority, the Great Ayatollah Sayyid Muhammad Saeed Al-Hakim.
Finally, the delegation presented simple gifts to (52) orphans in presence of the Foundation’s staff.
Upon conclusion of the visit, the delegation of the Islamic University expressed thankfulness and gratitude to the administration and staff for their good reception and cooperation, praying to God Almighty for success in this blessed mission.
