In collaboration with the Division of the Noble Qur’an at the university, The Faculty of Islamic Sciences commemorates the birth of Zahra (PBUH)
With various Quranic programs and Islamic chants, the Faculty of Islamic Sciences, in cooperation with the Holy Qur’an Division at the University, revived the anniversary of the birth of Fatima al-Zahra (peace be upon her).
The ceremony was attended by the President of the University, Dr. Ammar Abdul-Amir Al-Salami, the Dean of the Faculty, Dr. Hadi Al-Tamimi, and a group of university professors and students.
In the opening of the ceremony, verses from the Holy Quran were recited and Surat Al-Fatihah was read in memory of the martyrs of Iraq.
Afterward, Dr. Al-Salami spoke on the importance of reviving these occasions, which the university has been reviving since its establishment through various programs and activities.” He then congratulated the attendees, hoping that the revival of various religious occasions would deliver rewards, especially since we are near the shrines of the successor of the Messenger of God and his successor, Imam Ali bin Abi Talib (peace be upon him).
The Dean of the College, Dr. Al-Tamimi, then spoke. He thanked the Secretariat of the Great Mosque of Kufa for working with the Islamic University to revive the religious occasions it hosts and wished everyone success and the acceptance of good deeds.
Qasim al-Jubouri, Al-Maddah from the Holy Shrine, then praised Al-Zahra and reminded the attendees of the hadiths of the Messenger (PBUH) about Fatima al-Zahra and her great position.
