The Islamic University hosts the opening ceremony of the Middle Euphrates Universities Futsal Championship
On Tuesday morning, 01/18/2022, the Islamic University of Najaf hosted the opening ceremony of the Middle Euphrates Universities Futsal Championship for the period 17-27, with participation by all public and private universities.
The launching ceremony, which was attended by the President of the University of Kufa, Dr. Yasser Lafta Hassoun; the President of the Islamic University, Dr. Ammar Abdul-Amir Al-Salami; the President of Bin Hayyan Medical University, Dr. Muhammad Fakhreddin; the Dean of Sheikh Al-Tusi College, Dr. Qassem Al-Asadi; and the directors and professors of the participating colleges, began with the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran, followed by the national anthem and read Surat Al-Fatihah to the martyrs of Iraq.
Then Dr. Ammar Abdul-Amir Al-Salami delivered a speech on behalf of the universities participating in the tournament, announcing the opening of the tournament and welcoming the distinguished guests of the university, stressing at the same time the importance and necessity of these competitions and sports activities that develop the ability of the youth of Iraq to build our dear country .
Then Dr. Imad Odeh Al-Amiri, representative of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and the general supervisor of the tournament, delivered a speech at the opening ceremony, in which he pointed out the importance of these student activities, and the ministry’s endeavor to develop and develop students’ sports skills by participating in competition in a sporting spirit in these tournaments.
At the end of the ceremony, t Dr. Imad Odeh Al-Amiri, representative of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and general supervisor of the tournament, delivered a speech at the opening ceremony, highlighting the importance of these student activities and the ministry’s efforts to facilitate students’ development of sports skills through participation in these tournaments.
The Ministry of Higher Education honored the universities hosting this tournament in Najaf, namely Kufa University, Medical Technical University, Al-Kifl University, Islamic University, and Sheikh Al-Tusi College).
It is worth mentioning that University teams participated in the championship celebration are: Kufa University, Karbala University, Ahl al-Bayt University (peace be upon him), Sheikh Al-Tusi College, Al-Hilla University College, Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University, Jaber Ibn Hayyan Medical University, Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University, and the Islamic University.
