The Department of “Radiology and Ultrasound” at the Islamic University organizes its first scientific festival “Radiology… Eyes of Medicine”

Within the scientific and research activity of students at the College of Medical Technologies at the Islamic University of Najaf, the Department of Radiology and Ultrasound at the college organized its first scientific festival entitled ((Radiology… Eyes of Medicine)), in the presence of University President Dr. Ammar Al-Salami, Dean of the College, Dr. Abdul Majeed Al-Saadi and the Academic Staff.

The festival began with the reading of the Holy Quran, followed by Surat Al-Fatihah for the martyred Iraqis, and then the country’s national anthem.

Afterwards, the University President, Dr. Ammar Al-Salami, expressed his great satisfaction with the students’ self-scientific activities by presenting the results of students who wish to receive the latest medical sciences in their specific area of expertise. The doctor relies on radiology to treat his patients, and he wishes all his students to attain the highest academic degrees so they can serve their communities.

After a group of radiology students showed a video film on X-rays and Zainab Muhammad Reda took part in a film about convexity, Zainab presented her scientific research on the magnetic resonance equipment.

In the following session, the university’s media unit presented a documentary film detailing the university’s founding and its most significant achievements in scientific research. In addition to state-of-the-art equipment, scientific laboratories, and facilities, the Faculty of Medical Technologies is home to the Departments of Radiology and Sonar.

This festival was a result of the Islamic University’s interest in refining the talents of students in various fields, as it included a wide range of scientific, cultural, artistic, and social activities. In addition to scientific research activities for radiology, there was a wide array of activities aimed at enhancing exchange of experiences, acquiring skills, and utilizing the power of youth.
