The Islamic University of Najaf’s Presidency organized a ceremony on Monday, January 10, 2022, to welcome new students registered for the academic year 2021–2022. The university’s president, his assistants, and the college’s dean, Dr. Abdul Majeed Al-Saidi, were at the ceremony along with heads of the laboratories, radiology, and sonography departments.
The ceremony began with a welcome address from Prof. Ammar Abdul-Amir Al-Salami, the university president. In his remarks, he discussed the purpose of founding the university, its vision and aims in society, and the stages that the group has gone through since 2003 until now.
After that, a documentary produced by the university’s media unit has been shown, detailing the university’s founding, the most significant advancements in scientific research, and the resources available within its faculties, including the Faculty of Medical Technologies and its two departments, Laboratory and Radiology and Ultrasound.
Dr. Abdul Majeed Al-Saidi, the faculty’s dean, then conveyed a warm welcome to the new students and their families present at the event while highlighting the college’s state-of-the-art laboratory and medical equipment, which is used to train medical professionals capable of carrying out their duties in the future.
The Assistants of President, Dr. Mohsen Al-Mudhaffar and Dr. Hassan Melhem, explained in detail the instructions to be followed by students, as well as the requirements for adhering to Islamic University regulations and laws, and the purposes for which the institution was established.
