The English Department (Morning Studies) won the Faculty of Law in the final of the Islamic University of Najaf’s hall football championship for students, in the presence of His Eminence Sayyid Sadr Al-Din Al-Qabbanji, founder of the Islamic University, the President of the University, Dr. Ammar Al-Salami, a number of teachers and a large audience of male and female students.
The match was characterized by enthusiasm and outstanding technical performance by both teams. The English Department team managed to achieve a wonderful victory over the Faculty of Law and Political Science, with a score of (11) to (6).
After the match ended, the university president, Dr. Ammar Al-Salami medals and cups for the first and second place winners.
Cups were also distributed to the best player Hussain Ali from the College of Pharmacy, and the best goalkeeper Muhammad from the Faculty of Law.
Medals were also distributed to the female students and teachers who won the table tennis championship of the Islamic University of Najaf, which was held last week in the gymnasium in the presence of female students only. (HTH)
