The Student Activities Department at the Islamic University organized a table tennis tournament in the sports hall for female students and teachers of the Islamic University’s faculties and departments in Najaf.
Forty (40) female students from the Faculty of Education (English for the morning study and English for the evening study), the Faculty of Pharmacy, the Faculty of Law, the Analytics Department, and the Physical Education and Sports Science Departments participated in the tournament.
The tournament qualifiers resulted in the qualification of the English Language Department for Morning Studies and the Faculty of Pharmacy team to the final match, which the Faculty of Pharmacy team won.
As for the table tennis tournament for female teachers, six female teachers from the Departments of Pathological Analysis, Department of Radiology, and Department of Physical Education and Sports Science participated in it.
After the qualifiers, the teams of the Department of Physical Education and Sports Science and the Department of Analytics qualified for the final match, in which the team of the Department of Physical Education and Sports Science won over the Department of Pathological Analysis.
The tournament was marked by the presence of a large number of female students’ audience to encourage their female colleagues, amid the joy of everyone in this student sports gathering. (HTH)
