Yesterday, Monday, November 20, 2021, the Islamic University’s faculties and departments’ football championship for the halls for students was launched, which is organised by the Sports Activities Department at the Islamic University according to the individual projection system.
The tournament opened in the university gymnasium with two matches, the first between the Department of Physical Education and Sports Sciences for the evening study and the English Department for the morning study.
The first match resulted in the victory of the English Language Department (6 vs. 2), while the second match was between the Radiology Department for the evening study and the Department of Physical Education for the morning study, and the result was the victory of the Department of Physical Education and Sports Science with a score of (1 vs. zero).
As for the matches of the second day, there were two matches, the first between the Faculty of Law and the College of Information. As a result, the College of Law won (6 to 1).
As for the second match, it was between the College of Dentistry and the Department of Radiology, in which the Department of Radiology won (4 vs. 2) for Dentistry.
The matches were attended by the Dean of the College of Law, Mr. Muhammad Al-Husseini, and Dr. Majed Al-Faham, a number of male and female teachers, and a large number of male and female students.
Three futsal matches will be played at 12:30 tomorrow, Wednesday, November 17, 2021. The first match is between Computer Engineering for the morning shift and the Analytics Department for the morning shift, while the second match will be between the College of Pharmacy and the English Department. Then the third match will be held between the Analytics Department for the evening shift and the College of Engineering/Building and Construction Department. (HTH)
