The Head of the Department of the Holy Qur’an in the General Secretariat of Shiite Holy Shrines, Dr. Mohsen Asaad Al-Kaabi, received on Monday, November 15, 2021, the delegation of the Islamic University of Najaf, represented by the Director of the Holy Qur’an Division at the Islamic University, Mr. Mohsen Rasoul Al-Saffar and Dr. Qusay Shihab Al-Khafaji, where the delegation met with the professors of the Department of the Holy Qur’an.
During the meeting, the Qur’anic reality and Qur’anic activities in the honourable shrines were discussed, and efforts were made to strengthen relations between the shrines and academic institutions represented by universities to spread Qur’anic culture among young people in general and students in particular.
Dr. Mohsen Al-Kaabi expressed his full readiness to cooperate in establishing joint Quranic activities between Quranic centres in the shrines and the Islamic University.
On the other hand, Mr. Mohsen Al-Saffar commended the efforts of the Head of the HolyQur’an Department in the General Secretariat of Shiite Holy Shrines and the professors working in it and their earnest efforts to develop Quranic activities in the shrines, declaring his readiness to cooperate in exchanging experiences between the Islamic University and the honourable shrines, establishing joint activities to spread the Qur’anic culture and seriously striving to raise a Quranic generation aware.
Mr. Mohsen Al-Saffar presented a collection of publications from the Islamic University Journal and some of the teachers’ books to Dr. Mohsen Al-Kaabi as a gesture of gratitude.
Mohsen Al-Kaabi presented a set of publications from the General Secretariat of Shiite Holy Shrines as well as some books on recitation provisions for professors at the Department of the Holy Qur’an to the university delegation. (HTH)
