With constant follow-up by the President of the Islamic University, Dr. Ammar Al-Salami, and with great efforts from the Engineering Division at the university, the construction of a five-football stadium in the Department of Physical Education and Sports Sciences in the College of Education was started.
First phase of the project included grading and modifying the land, in preparation for phase two and three, which will involve erection of an iron structure, archways, artificial turf brushes, and other accessories.
University President praised this sports project, which will provide support for students of the Department of Physical Education to practice their sports activities and provide university students with an appropriate recreational environment. The Sports Project will be a new addition to the Faculty of Education. (HTH)
