Today, Tuesday, July 13, 2021, the Islamic University was visited by a delegation of the Quranists Union in Najaf, a gathering of Iraqi Quran reciters, headed by Mr. Alaa Mohsen Al-Mahmoudi, President of the Union, to sign the cooperation agreement between the Islamic University and the Quranists Union in Najaf.
The delegation was welcomed by the President of the Islamic University, Assistant Professor Dr. Ammar Al-Salami, the Assistant President of the University for Administrative Affairs, Dr. Hassan Taher Melhem, the Dean of the Faculty of Islamic Sciences, Prof. Dr. Hadi Abdel Nabi Al-Tamimi, Mr. Mohsen Rasoul Al-Saffar, the representative of the Holy Quran Unit at the university, as well as several professors.
During the visit, the President of the Islamic University, Dr. Ammar Abdul-Amir Al-Salami, expressed his readiness to provide what is best for the students in order to spread Quranic awareness and advance the Quranic reality in the governorate.
For his part, the President of the Union, Alaa Mohsen Al-Mahmoudi, praised the Qur’anic activities at the university and their initiative in supporting readers and preserving the Holy Qur’an. (HTH)
