With great sadness and sorrow, the Islamic University of Najaf offers its condolences to Imam Mahdi (may God hasten his honourable reappearance), our great Maraji (the supreme legal authority for Twelver Shia Muslims), the Islamic nation and the Shiites of Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them) on the anniversary of the martyrdom of Imam Muhammad al-Jawad, peace be upon him, asking the Almighty to make us among the mourners and those who follow his path.
