On Wednesday, June 2, 2021, the Islamic University of Najaf and Ferdowsi University of Mashhad in Iran renewed their Memorandum of Understanding for scientific and cultural collaboration at the Islamic University’s presidency.
Dr. Ammar Abdul-Amir Al-Salami, President of the Islamic University, signed the memorandum, while Dr. Ihsan Qabul, representing Ferdowsi University, signed on behalf of Dr. Ahmad Kafi, President of Ferdowsi University of Mashhad.
It included new provisions for fostering scientific and academic cooperation in graduate studies, supervising master’s and doctoral theses jointly, holding joint scientific conferences, publishing jointly in scientific journals of both institutions, and giving Islamic University professors the chance to pursue a postdoctoral degree or conduct research at Ferdowsi University of Mashhad.
