توصيف عمل الخريج :

1.    التصميم والاشراف على تنفيذ كافة فقرات الأعمال التابعة للمشاريع الهندسية كالأبنية والجسور والطرق والمطارات والأنفاق والسدود والمنشآت الهيدروليكية ووحدات البناء المصنع ووحدات الخرسانة مسبقة الجهد .

2.    اجراء كافة الفحوصات الحقلية والموقعية والمختبرية (الاتلافية وغير الاتلافية) على كافة المواد الانشائية والتربة وقراءة نتائجها ومطابقتها مع المواصفات القياسية .

3.    قراءة وتهيئة وتنفيذ الخرائط الإنشائية والمعمارية وحساب كمياتها وكلفها وإبرام العقود للمشاريع وباستعمال الحاسب بشكل موسع .

4.     تنظيم وادارة المشاريع الإنشائية المختلفة وبطرق حديثة وباستعمال الحاسب والإلمام بالأساليب المهنية في أعمال البناء إضافة إلى دراسة المكائن الإنشائية من حيث إنتاجيتها وكلف تشغيلها وطرق استعمالها .

5.    التعامل مع مواد الإنشاء الحديثة والبدائل الجديدة المتوفرة محليا" والمواد المضافة في الأعمال الخرسانية وأعمال تثبيت التربة للمشاريع المهمة .

6.    صيانة الأبنية والطرق والمشاريع الأخرى والسيطرة على موضوع التلوث البيئي باعتباره مشكلة من مشاكل العصر .

7.    استعمال أجهزة المساحة الحديثة بشكل موسع لتهيئة المخططات والمرتسمات الطوبوغرافية وتقسيم الأراضي وتحديد مسارات الطرق ورسم المقاطع الطولية والعرضية .

   Building & Construction Technology Engineering Department was established in ( 2004 ) as a fifth department of the college which contains four previous departments .

The form of the department staff created from different branches of civil engineering ; three of which are assistance professors , three lecturers , and ten assistance lecturers .

The standard for admission to the B.Sc. degree in the Technical College is the successful completion at secondary school .The interval of study in the department is four years .

The graduate student will be able to :

1.     Direction & coordination of building & construction team efforts where engineering is a predominant factor .

2.     Controlling the project in terms of time & money requirements and degree of safety desired .

3.     Performing analysis & testing of building materials  & members .

4.     Reviewing & evaluating data ( conclusions ) and recommendations of building & construction team members .

5.     Deciding the optimum procedures of constructions .

6.     Developing designs consistent with data & recommendations of team members needed for execution of buildings .

7.     Performing inspection during construction to assure compliance .

8.     Making judgments on quality , economy , & safety matters .

9.     Performing recommendations of materials for representative sampling and testing .

10.                         Guiding the construction job teams .
